Force Unleashed
Yep just played the demo and not a single motion support feature not even jump, I am not the slightest bit interested anymore.

The supposed "force" feels more like i am operating a crane with levers (well thumbsticks in this case) - it's booring.

The light sabre effect is totally pathetic it behaves more like using a club - instead of cutting opponents into pieces they just fall over still in one piece and then magically vanish ! - who sharpened this thing anyway i want my money back - the programmers must be too lazy or stupid to figure out how to slice a geometric model into pieces during the game - it's hard to get good help these days. ! The best they managed is a pre-sequenced dice on one of the droids at the start.

Why have a light sabre at all ! it would make more sense if you were bludgoning people with a steel bar since that would be equally as sharp as the light sabre in this game -

This is not next-gen physics it's no better than the old games on the n64 or PS2.

And no motion support you just press a button and the character does some random sword waving.

I suspect the flying parts of the game will be the same rubbish also - Things are worse than ever even the old 1980's arcade starwars vector graphics games had better controls than we get 20 years later (on consoles anyway) at least the PC version you can plug in a flight stick.

If i ever buy this game it will be from the PC titles bargain bin at least i get mouse support that way.

Mabey i just aint interested in games - but why would i be if this is all they have to offer, the resolution my be a little higher but that's about it really.

Really just another Rebadged variant of some generic game engine with the same buttom mashing drugery of most other games so once again my PS3 is destined for occasional use as a media player and room convection heater. !

Well At least the demo was a free download.

to be fair, you are being harsh to the demo. Its not as bad. And who said there would be motion controls on the PS3 version.

Wii one may have motion controls...Otherwise the game is a basic hack and slash that devil may cry or ninja gaiden run cicrcles around...but its still kinda fun.

I agree that the game was disappointing and I do not intend to rent or buy it.

But do you really gauge your interest in a game by how it uses motion controls? That seems strange for a PS3 game.

...

The game will be released in a few weeks time. Let's wait for more reviews before jumping to any conclusions on this game.

personaly i enjoyed it i loved holding a guy in the air, shoving my light saber into him, charging him up with lighting, then throwing him into a crowd of drones....simple fun

but i agree i was disappointed when i would slash a wall and see these great heat strokes, turn around slash a guy and seem him not even spark a little...i have a laser sword that cant cut flesh but can burn metal.....grrrrrrr...

The simple things is what sold me really, like using a fully charged force blast down a narrow hallway, just to watch the destruction. Force Grabbing a pillar and bending it to smash into a tie-fighter, and yes. Even the light saber sold me, but I think your being a bit harsh on the game.

Ok, so the controls feel a bit wonky. Would sixaxis really have made it better? We have no idea how the wii motion controls will perform, either. So we have no indication that motion control is what this game needs.

The light saber for the most part I felt was really nice, a flashy saber style that I haven't seen before. (I am told you see it in the clone wars movie however). But slicing people up in half, seems a bit unnecessary. All in all, I enjoyed the mind-less hack and slash. Plus the physics sold me, I love watching the materials break in the way they should.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

it's a demo.... don't expect anything amazing.....

4 ≈ One

It's worth the rent, that's for sure.

Holding a guy in the air with the force and watching him beg to be put down only to be thrown into the nearest wall or explosive barrel is pretty fun.

the demo put me off as well - I also thought the force control was just horrible, the gameplay even by the end of the demo was just samey. I dont think i'll be buying any version and I was really looking forward to it.

yea, that's a good descripton of it's controls/feel

- in my second and third runthrough I was able to control it quite well, but it just didn't feel as nice as it should
