Forums - Sony - LBP - Perfect Bundle?

Its going to be really hard to convince the masses to drop $450 just because sackboy is "cute" and the game looks "fun." I really dont think this will get the casuals buying it, only due to price. Im pretty sure one 360 bundle had Viva Pinata, and did not really do much to sales.

The game isn't about sackboy being cute, Why wouldn't people a buy a game that's fun? That makes no sence at all, The game is about creativity, and this is the only game that gives you loads and loads of features, i don't see why it won't appeal to casuals.

I think the purpose of bundleing this game is to bring new people to the system. Most "hardcore" players already ahve PS3 or are getting it regardless of LBP. That leaves the masses, you know the 130 million odd PS2s sold.....they make up about 90% of those sales. Now sure everyone wants fun games but that leaves the decision of paying $450 for something that looks fun. How many times have we heard of stories of people that regretfully bought Wiis cause they look fun only to play it a few times then let it collect dust. People are al lot less likely to spend $450 than $250.

As far as creativety, that is what I feel to only be for a small fraction of buyers. How well did blast works do on Wii? How many people do you know that made their own skateparks in Tony Hawk? Its great that potentially awesome new levels will be made all the time, but most people will be on the demand side of the equasion.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

If Sony is going to bundle a game with the PS3, they're going to

1. Bundle a 1st party game that has already sold enough to pay for its own development and is seeing declining sales.(MotorStorm, Ratchet, Uncharted)

2. Bundle a big 3rd party game that will attract massive ammounts of fans of the respective series. (DMC4, GTA IV, MGS4)

Sony definitely isn't going to release a bundle with LittleBigPlanet until it has sold a few million units on its own first, because it would just be losing them money. Maybe next Christmas.

I am pretty sure we will see 3 official PS3 bundles this holiday season. A resistance 2 bundle, Motorstorm 2 bundle and LBP bundle.

Resistance 2 appeals to the western market, especially NA. Motorstorm 2 appeals to Europeans and LBP appeals to all 3 major markets.

There will be a bundle, of that I am sure. I'm more anxious about the price, 4000 NOK is till too much for a console on my part, no matter what game (s) bundle with it.

I see them bundling this game. It has to work, selling this and the 40GB PS3 will help drive the casual or mainstream market considerably!

I think it's the perfect game to bundle.... it's a way to possible build the online community, and a game

Being an online community game it pushes people to go online... and spend money online perhaps.

Might get people on the fence to buy it and enjoy it.

I could see LBP being bundles starting Christmas 09, and stay a bundle for a long long time.

This game should appeal to almost every demographic, something very few game do.
