The game isn't about sackboy being cute, Why wouldn't people a buy a game that's fun? That makes no sence at all, The game is about creativity, and this is the only game that gives you loads and loads of features, i don't see why it won't appeal to casuals. |
I think the purpose of bundleing this game is to bring new people to the system. Most "hardcore" players already ahve PS3 or are getting it regardless of LBP. That leaves the masses, you know the 130 million odd PS2s sold.....they make up about 90% of those sales. Now sure everyone wants fun games but that leaves the decision of paying $450 for something that looks fun. How many times have we heard of stories of people that regretfully bought Wiis cause they look fun only to play it a few times then let it collect dust. People are al lot less likely to spend $450 than $250.
As far as creativety, that is what I feel to only be for a small fraction of buyers. How well did blast works do on Wii? How many people do you know that made their own skateparks in Tony Hawk? Its great that potentially awesome new levels will be made all the time, but most people will be on the demand side of the equasion.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
