So does anyone believe this sales prediction could be on the money? Or will Wii reach 50 million before the DS reaches 100 million.

I believe the DS could reach 100 million in December 2008. Wii will reach 50 million in January 2009. So it will be a close race.

ds always sales higher than wii almost every week, so yes ds will reach 100m before wii 50m, your prediction seems to be spot on.

They're both ~20 M away from 100 M and 50 M.........the DS outsells the wii each week.......therefore the DS will reach 100 M before wii reaches 50 M.

The DS currently has around 79 million sold. The wii has around 31 million.
So the DS needs to sell 21 million more and the wii around 19 million more.

Considering how much each system sells each week... well, it's a no-brainer. The DS will win.
