What Iconic figures from these Sony platforms can you think of? 

At the bare minimum please give the name of the character and on which platform(s) they are associated with. If you want to go above and beyond by posting an image of the character that is even better.

PS - This is serving a purpose, but I can't share details just yet.

I'm going to say no to Nathan Hale and Drake, they don't have any physically defining features that make them iconic EDIT: AND they've only been in one game each so far that hasn't been HUGE (FF7 huge), that will change when the sequels come.

I'm going to say (in addition to what axumblade listed), Crash Bandicoot(PS1), Cloud and Sephiroth from FF7 (PS1) and Solid Snake (PS1, PSP, PS2, PS3), Dante (PS2)

With the latter it's only Crash for me as iconic.

I assosiate him with every PS console even if he isn't exclusive anymore honestly. He was their first mascot... and outside of Lara Croft is the only character from a sony platform i'd expect a random non gamer being able to pick out of a lineup.  He was there first Mascot.. and really... only Mascot.  Sackboy seems like a replacement but it will take a while... or some annoying commercials to replace Crash.  Man his commercials sucked... and stuck in your head.

Lara Croft i don't assositate with PS probably because it's my Aunt's favorite series of games and she loves the 360. Though I suppose i should as she's probably the only character that qualifies as a true Iconic character from a Sony platform.

In a real Icon sense there are probably only 2-3 characters in gaming. Lara Croft, Mario and possible Master Chief just through force of advertising.

Sony hasn't really pushed indvidual characters to the extent that they could do , I think the playstation brand is more about a plethora of characters rather than important individual ones.

So when you say inconic gaming figures and Sony in the same sentence , no one chraracters comes to mind various ones do infact but none of them too significant individualy.

Maybe Sony should invest in a posterboy for the long term image , maybe they don't need too . I dunno.

nathan hale and solid snake

Hmmm, Solid Snake was first of all a MSX character that was ported to the NES, and then the Sony consoles. Not sure if he fits the description here...

I'd say Ratchet and Clank. From the Ratchet and Clank games. (PSP, Ps2, PS3)

Solid Snake. From the Metal Gear Solid series. (PS, PSP, PS2, PS3)

Kratos. from the God of War Series. (PSP, PS2, PS3)

He's been here ever since the MSX days. And why does everyone keep posting the same characters over again? o_o
