I always felt that way with Kojima Productions for Metal Gear Solid games, Capcom studios based on Resident Evil games and Squaresoft from Final Fantasy games (although ever since Square Enix merger quality on FF games has arguably been slipping). So for me it's more on a franchise title basis than its been about developers. All devs/publishers inevitably have some hit and miss games. I certainly won't have to read the reviews for God of War III before buying either. I trust Sony Santa Monica with that IP. Criterion for Burnout is another dev I trust for that franchise and I really like Pixel Junk lately for Monsters & Eden on the PSN.

Actually if I had to name one dev I completely trust no matter what type of game they make it would have to be Insomniac Games.

So, I have as much trust that they will make a game I will love as is posable. Is that 100%? No, but 90 something :)

Ha! How far behind the times you are. I'm already rocking out to Bleach DS 3. However I will go back in my catalog for Bleach DS 2 and send your sorry ass back to the forums crying.

I could have said Square before FFX-2 and FFXII.

I know that BioWare will always provide me with $60 worth of game, therefore I trust them. It might not be the greatest game ever but I have yet to not enjoy one of their games, so it's worth a purchase.

I'll also throw in Blizzard and Valve.

While I would normally agree with you, they just haven't produced enough games yet to fully gain my trust.
