Naughty Dog. Uncharted is much better than Resistance, and the Jak & Daxter series was my favorite ps2 series after Ico/SotC and MGS.  Of course, I've yet to play much of R&C.

Objectively, I'd say Insomniac is the better studio, if only because they manage to pump out quality titles every freakin' year.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for Insomniac because R&C is one of my fav game series over the past few generations and rivaling only Banjo-Kazooie.

I never cared much for the Crash games... while they are solid platformers no doubt, I'll take first true 3-D platformer, Mario 64, over it any day. I remember reading the major game mags back during E3 '96 and they all came out praising Crash and Tomb Raider as the future of 3-D gaming, but then when Mario 64 finally hit they were all singing a different tune and bestowing it game of the year awards, etc.

K well I understand you do not know the history of these companys. So here's some nice info the founders of naughty dog were best friends with the founders of insomniac.

Spyro was horrible compaired to crash.
Ratchet used the Jak game engine
Drakes fortune was a good game but didn;t feel complete

Naughty Dog. Uncharted is amazing

I love them both... but I'll pick Insomniac simply because they put out games at about twice the rate of Naughty Dog.

Someone asked "Ratchet or Jak" recently and Jak won in a landslide from what I remember of the first page of responses.  I also think Uncharted is cooler than Resistance, but we'll see the sequels...R2 is looking sweet.  Spyro is cool.

I love them both a lot, they are equally my favourite developers but Insomniac is probably 'better' as they are able to put out high quality games much faster than Naughty Dog.

Well it depends on the system I loved spyro then from there it was Jak and now Uncharted.
