Forums - Website Topics - Mod thread approval?

Suggesting a Mod thread approval

Before anyone post a topic it should be approved by a Mod

i have been seeing alot of double topics and pointless threads...

Disscus/bad or good idea?

I think it would prove too tiresome.

And even with the new mods, there are times when no mods are online.

bad idea.  that means that no topics could be posted from 1:00 am to 5:00 am pacific time due to lack of mods.

would slow things down too much. And besides, duplicate threads never killed anybody, and they're usually dealt with impressively quickly.

This will not end well for you son.

And I have no problem calling you "son" even though I'm two years older than you.

I was a total player when I was fifteen months old.

This is a good point.

^_^

Awful idea. Unless there was a fairly large team, that actually got paid, it would probably slow things down tremendously. Plus there would be more duplicate threads (for them) because as a thread waits to be approved more people might make the same thread who would have already seen it otherwise.

I think we should just have an option for each user that allows or disallows thread starting. If a user abuses it, a mod unchecks that option for the user and that can't post threads until granted access again.

It might take a while for a thread to be approved then...
