I the movie any good? Some of my friends are thinking of watching it when its out over here since it has star wars in the name.
It's in Australia, but Still, I thought Star wars fans, kids, a lot of people would see it on it's launch weekend.
Movies usually go down in sales after it's first weekend... If they where this bad, I can only imagine next weekend where no one turns up. LOL.

A few thoughts ...
Its US box-office for its opeing weekend was $15 Million which will (probably) translate to a worldwide total box office in excess of $150 Million. The movie will (likely) see massive sales on DVD as many parents will buy it for their children, and obsessive Starwars fans will buy it even if they hated it.
The DVD will likely be released at the same time as the videogame and there will be a big marketing push for both at Christmas; even though it may not be the "exciting" demographic, the combination of enjoying the movie and being bombarded with marketing will result in most boys between the age of 4 and 12 asking for the game at Christmas ... On top of this, obsessive Starwars fans will buy two copies (one to play, one for their collection) even if they hate it.

In all honesty, Wait for the DVD. The movie was not worth the money at the movies.
@ Happy - It will be extreamly lucky if it reaches that once all is said and done at the box office. It will probably make a profit on DVD but for a Star Wars Film, Not as good as I thought, well not as good as many people thought.

Can anyone tell me, when looking at gross sales, is this Total revenue of movie ticket sales, or the % of the revenue generated from a ticket sale which goes to the movie studio?

I dont think its gonna flop because I dont think anyones expecting it to sell too well in the first place.
