If you haven't played the original Final Fantasy Tactics, get that. One of the best PS1(well now PSP) games out there.

I haven't played Jeanne D'Arc. So i'd suggest

Disgaea
Jeane D'Arc
FFT.

Final Fantasy Tactics wasn't horrible, but it's a below average SRPG if your a SRPG fan. It really pales in comparison to Matsuno's other work in the genre.

Tactics was my favorite from that list handily. Jeanne d'Arc was pretty good, but not as good. And I'm not too fond of Disgaea, but that might have something to do with it being inferior in almost every way to its sequel.

Jeanne is the best... then again I can't stand Disgaea. Wierd since I love every other SRPG in existance. I sold my PSP Disgaea, and PS2 Disgaea 2 recently, and I'm glad to be rid of them... and no way am I buying Disgaea 3.

Am I the only SRPG gamer on earth who dislikes Disgaea?

I am playing Disgaea on the PSP right now. I loved it for PS2, invested around 200+ hours into it. How could someone not enjoy an SRPG filled with humor?

Other than that I would go with FFT. I didn't really like Jeanne D'Arc.
