The Xbox 360 60gb is now £179.98, the exact same price as the Wii on Amazon UK. Really I don't know what more can be done except giving them away for free. Obviously, price is not a factor when it comes to Wii sales.

If that's permanent pricing, then there really isn't anything else MS can do to shore up Xbox sales. At least not in the UK.

Even if it was a limited time sale, hardware should be moving rapidly until prices return to normal as consumers jump at the discount price.

If the rumored NA price revisions for the 360 line up don't result in a significant and permanent change in hardware sales, it may well mean that sales for the platform have plateaued.

It wouldn't spell the end by any means, but if mass market friendly pricing doesn't lead to mass market adoption, there really isn't much more that MS can do.

Since the 360 prices were cut the last time, 360 Premium has been 10€ more expensive than Wii here in Finland and Arcade priced 60€ below the Wii. Of course, both 360 models are easy to find 10€ cheaper than the standard price (unlike Wii).

But the 60GB HDD may give a short boost to 360 sales.

release more party games. Give a motion controller to every 360 owner and they have a Wii in them. etc.
