If that's permanent pricing, then there really isn't anything else MS can do to shore up Xbox sales. At least not in the UK.
Even if it was a limited time sale, hardware should be moving rapidly until prices return to normal as consumers jump at the discount price.
If the rumored NA price revisions for the 360 line up don't result in a significant and permanent change in hardware sales, it may well mean that sales for the platform have plateaued.
It wouldn't spell the end by any means, but if mass market friendly pricing doesn't lead to mass market adoption, there really isn't much more that MS can do.
