yes i think it will, but not much
In others I expect PS3 sales to go up to 120k the week the 80 GB is released, and then settle somewhere around 100k. They have been waiting to get a HDD bigger than 40 GB and a DS3 for a while. In US the 80 GB will be the reintroduction of a $399 SKU, so sales should get a decent boost and settle somewhere around 75k, provided that they keep the $499 PS3 (quite a few people are willing to pay $100 extra for BC).

yes it will increase, I my self will contribute 1 point.
Simple fact is, I was waiting for the DS3 to be packaged in, and then it was announced it came with a HDD upgrade as well, so that was pretty sweet.
Now the whole package would be complete if this 80GB PS3 came with both CPU and GPU at 65nm.
I hope it will, but I don't think so.
Nobody cares of the size of the hard drive, what the PS3 needs now is a price cut.

Wasn't it supposed to have a CPU at 45nm?
I think that it will slightly. Most average consumers won't know the difference.
