Forums - Gaming - if you could destroy one gaming company...

This might shock some people so hold onto your seat for this one and don't flame me it's a tie. Bungie and Rockstar

I attribute Halo to the rising amounts of FPS's. I also attribute many of the cackling morons who come into the game stores and make my head hurt to halo... I also give credit to GTA and such for bringing so much more rotten attention from the Media, also because I'm just downright sick of hearing it.

Alright so neither games in my reasoning are -bad- per se but that's not what I'm trying to say at all. I'm just sick of the aftermath factors.

P.S. I also miss all my good RPG and adventure games, what happened to you squaresoft?!

Microsoft/Nintendo

Nintendo? why? at least they don't buy their way in and make good games of their own... I couldn't agree more about Microsoft though.

Buy their way in? Huh, sounds like Sony with the PS1 and 2.

How?

When Sony was first starting they bought out alot of previously Nintendo exclusives. Included were the Final Fantasy series, Metal Gear, Tales series(for PS1 anyway.), and a good bit of others. Like I said before, every console has to start somewhere. Essentially people are hating Microsoft for doing the exact same thing as Sony did when it was starting out too.

Wrong.  Sony got a lot of support from third party developers after Nintendo told them to take a hike.  As for FF, Square couldn't fit FF7 on a cartridge; Sony used discs so they were Square's best option.  As for the PS2, it had such a huge lead against the GC and Xbox when they came into the console war that developers would be ludicrous to not support it.

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*

Bungie, I don't care for there over-hyped games.

Ubisoft, Square Enix and just recently Epic games.

Ubisoft because they develop the worst games, if you can call them games, for the Wii and DS.

Square Enix for ignoring the Wii and hiding their only big release seeming it's vaporware, and also for focusing too much on cinematics rather than actual gameplay.

Epic for thrashing the Wii's userbase in a derogative manner.

Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.

^If Sony "Demolished" them, by that logic the Wii is also a demolisher, no?

Yes they are...Never said they weren't.

I just want to ask when Nintendo told them to take a hike? I knew Nintendo was arrogant int he same way sony is now, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't tell third parties to go away.

None. Yeah there are companies I hate but to destroy any would punish many (lost jobs/benefits) for the actions of a few.

And yet.. even though the N64 sold decently you see the result - not many 3rd party games...

i hate Microsoft, Bill Gates is the Devil himself, i would wipe that rotten ass company and all those smartasses off the face of the earth!!! just for trying to destroy the gaming industry.
