I look forward to IU also. I am still debating if I should get ToV over IU or IU over ToV. The latter is more likely since my brother seems to be interested in IU also.

 

 

Get ToV first then get 60 more dollars in 7 days. They do release exactly 1 week from one another. :P

I don't have the time to play more than one RPG at a time because of school as well as other games.

Frankly, there very well are PS3 fanboys that would and have flamed this game just because it's on the 360.

Do you really think I'm just being paranoid? Is Gobias really an unbiased source of information and previews for all of your 360 exclusives? No way. He's gonna say the game sucks because it's on the Xbox 360, doesn't matter if it's Bioshock. Posters like him feel the need to marginalize games that they have no way of playing, and convince themselves that not only do they have no interest in them, but that anyone who does, is an idiot.

People view this game as a threat. PS3 fanboys will flame Star Ocean, and tons of other games.

Funny that I haven't heard any 360 fans flame WKS, but I've heard PS3 fans tout it as the best jRPG this generation.

There are way less 360 fans, than PS3. Excuse us if we veto the gangbangs of all our exclusives by the biased horde of hate.

...and if you think fanboyism is getting really lame, you've missed the internet the past few years. It's already GOT there. Every post here has an alterior motive. It's not hard to guess what the alterior motive is for acting like you hate how a 360 exclusive looks, when you only own a PS3, PSP, and PS2. These people think they can fool everyone, but their actions show they are creatures of habit, and the easiest people to predict on these forums.

Now stay on topic.

No doubt there was some trolling from the usual suspects, but Xen didn't troll (this time, at least ). You might find "Is this coming to PS3?" annoying, and I do, too, when it's in every single thread about a 360 exclusive. But I'm not sure it constitutes as trolling when Xen has said he's considering a 360 because of its JRPGs. If IU were confirmed as heading to the PS3, it might influence his decision, so I think it's a valid question.

IMO, he got called for trolling because he leans PS3. If he's done stuff in the past that is basically trollish ("gtfo Microsoft" comes to mind) then he should be called on it when he does it, not when he's not doing it.

On topic, then: Hope I get my replacement box back in short order, as Infinite Undiscovery looks great. "Peacock Plume!"

Which RPG's are you talking about? You mean Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery? If so, how do you know they're mediocre? They're not out yet. You haven't played them? By what possible measure could you be judging them, but fanboyism, and pure speculation?

Most likely both.  I have heard nothing but great things about ToV and the previews for IU are very promising.  He probably doesn't even know what 'mediocre' means

What justifies the hype for Final Fantasy vs XIII, or Final Fantasy in general?

Everyone has their own 'pet' series. It's not like Tales is some obscure series that no one has ever followed. Because of that some are going to prefer what Tales offers.

Personally, I am hyped, and want, both, equally as much as the other. Tales has the advantage of catering more to my fiancee and her niece, so 3p co-op (if available) is going to be a lot of fun. While Infinite Undiscovery looks more mature, and more akin to what FFXII did in terms of the awesome ARPG game mechanics.

Neg, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odessy. Both highly mediocre. Im not talking about games that have yet to be released, thats something fanbois do.
