Check out that link. It is a post I made on that very subject, last night.

I have seen the thread and have already posted my opinon. Seen the videos, played the game, etc.

Just don't see what justifies the hype. (already not a big fan of Symphonia)

 

What justifies the hype for Final Fantasy vs XIII, or Final Fantasy in general?

Everyone has their own 'pet' series. It's not like Tales is some obscure series that no one has ever followed. Because of that some are going to prefer what Tales offers.

Personally, I am hyped, and want, both, equally as much as the other. Tales has the advantage of catering more to my fiancee and her niece, so 3p co-op (if available) is going to be a lot of fun. While Infinite Undiscovery looks more mature, and more akin to what FFXII did in terms of the awesome ARPG game mechanics.
