I think it will go to the 360, Microsoft and Square-Enix have an excellent relationship right now. Look at how many 360 exclusives or timed exclusives are coming.

In that case why not put all 3rd party titles on the Wii and DS? They have the largest userbases and are the easiest to develop for, it only makes sense right? NO... All developers are not looking to make a quick buck as many Wii owners have found lead to shovel ware. Kingdom Hearts is not a shovel ware kind of game. As kiddy as its nature is, it is a HARDCORE GAME! You dont see 10 year olds beating SEPHIROTH like its nothing. The game is not casual, which is the Wii's audience. The other Kingdom Hearts were BIG BUDGET games. Will this change in current gen? Probably NOT! Big budget games just do not go to the Wii. If you are going to invest lots of time and money why not make it the biggest baddest game you can (360/PS3). That in turns eliminates the Wii from the selection. 360 I believe has NO chance of getting it as Nomura, the designer, cannot comply with the hardware that the 360 uses. He has stated before that he favors the PS3's. This makes a big difference as he is not only the Developer but the main artist, and partial programmer of the game (didnt know that did you?) He practically designed the game HIMSELF!(Just as Kojima does). Plus my previously stated arguments put the PS3 as a much more likely contender then the other two. Side Note:You know, I never see PSFanboys hoping and wishing for 360/Wii games that have shown a pattern of exclusivity. Just putting that out there....

Before I state my opinion, though these topics are all fair game, I really hate speculating.
Now, I gotta ask you forevercloud.....are you serious???
KH is a hardcore game?!? Just look at the game!
They have Disney characters.....DISNEY CHARACTERS....like Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.....enough said! It does not matter if they have boss fights like Sephiroth and characters like Cloud.....the fact that they have Disney characters shows that the game is targeted to the Disney fans AS well as the FF fans.
It does not matter what you say, but when I see my 8 year old cousin beat the game and a friend of mine....who never play video games....continually beat KH (just to hear the theme song), then the game is casual and is meant for all people, hardcore and casuals. This is what you call a typical bridge game and it is done very well.
Oh and since so many has commented on your infamous list

Kingdom Hearts is staying where it has always been, PS3. http://www.gamersplatform.com/2008/08/14/the-future-of-kingdom-hearts-360-or-ps3/ There are just too many reasons on why it should stay. 1. It started on PS2 and customers like to continue a franchise where it started. 2. The game's audience MAIN audience lies with the PS3 as real fans want to see massive graphical upgrades within the new title. 3. Tetsuya Nomura (an known PSFanboy) is the developer of the game. 4. The game also holds characters that Sony holds liscences too such as the FFVII cast. These characters have become key to the story so it would be akward to take them out 4. Disney stands to only gain by further inforcing the game on PS3 as they are one of the biggest investors in Blu Ray. 5. 360 users dont really like RPGs, hense none of them sell too well... 6. Wii is too technologically inferior to give fans of the series what they want, motion controls would be a minus to the gameplay. 7. Becuase it only makes sense lolz XD |
1. Like the others have stated, Final Fantasy, Tenchu, Metal Gear, Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, etc. all have jumped ship to other consoles. Also, if that were the case (hypothetically speaking) then the game would and should be on the PS2 only and not the PS3, seeing how the PS2 and the PS3 are not the same systems. Therefore, this point is mute.
2. Really? Is that really so? Then why weren't the first two demanded to be on the Xbox and/or the Gamecube? Those two systems were vastly superior (graphic-wise) to the PS2. I don't see anybody here lauding the two KH games for their graphics. Instead, I see everybody who is a KH fan glad that the two games were great in their story and how fun it is to play them. You don't even see the cool graphics except at the very beginning and at the very end of the games. So, I don't see where you are going with this logic.
3. Just because he is the developer of the game, doesn't mean he has the full right over the game. Square Enix has only part of the rights over the game, specifically the FF characters only. Disney has full rights to the entire game. This explains why there was a cell phone KH game with no FF characters. Without FF characters and SE, there is still a KH game. But without Disney, no KH game. Hence, Disney decides where the game goes. Period.
4. The others explained this better than I could ever do.
5. Oblivion and KOTOR says hi. But of course, those are Western RPG's.
6. Really? Like explained in point 2, the PS2 was the most inferior out of the three consoles last gen, yet seem to handle both KH games pretty well. Seems like you forgot how it must feel to have an inferior quality console yet have wonderful games to play. Second of all, I believe the motion controls won't be a minus. In fact, I think with Motion +, it can be like controlling a real Keyblade. Of course, if it had NMH controls (keep hitting A, then finish the combo with a motion or just continue the combo with a motion) then it can be ten times more fun. You just need a bit of an imagination to see this though.
7. With a limited mind, yes.
Like the others said before me, it can go anywhere. But I think after that debacle, where FFXIII went multi and is now going to the PS3 AND 360, you of all people should know that there are no such things as exclusives for the HD consoles.
The 360 option I really think is a longshot. I think this is the least likely option of the 3 consoles.
It's between the Wii and PS3. Wii for Disney stuff, and it being the family console but then if anyone has played KH they'll know it's far from family orientated. It's single player and hard (KH1 harder then 2 obviously), the story can be complicated.
It's no kids game. I'd think most who own either of the games are hardcore in nature or good gamers.
We'll see though i guess....in 2-3 more years. :P
Hmm, pie.
Its gonna be on Wii, if not, multiplat. Square does seem a bit scared after pi**ing off Sony, so they may brown nose them a bit and give em it.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Nah if its just one person I can ban them |
Oh c'mon, you couldn't ban this face: <(;_;)>
that's what I'll look like if you ban me too, it'll take some fattening, and I'll have to cut my arms off at the elbows, but I'm willing to make the effort.
...
you lot are al saft.
it is so clear that it is going to go to the Dreamcast
Final Fantasy made its way on the Xbox360, so why shouldn't this game?
I have no clue about this game, but MS is doing a good job to satisfy the developers. But Nintendo and the Wii could need a big game. This would suit perfectly.
Let's wait and see.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
| Tbone said: Reasons this game could come to either console. Wii - Best selling console. Ps3 - The previous 2 was on ps3. 360 - No reason unless Microsoft pays. |
It could end up on any console then...
Just check the other 5billion KH3 threads if you want my take on it. I don't feel like arguing again.
