Some people are amazing. Even if you stuck a banana in their ass they will still yell at you that bananas doesn't exists.

With the Wii lineup as of now, they are right..

To you (and me) but people are eating it up.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
| Gearbox said: well isn't it obvious? Not many teens or adults buy the wii now, it's all for lil kids and babies. Same thing is happening to the DS. Everyone I know who has a wii actually wants to get rid of it and get a 360 or ps3! So yes it is still a fad, but more like a novelty. |

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

Xen you really should change your sig. If there is one thing that isn't true, it's that you are a nintendo supporter.

I am actually a hardcore gamer and personally not a fan of the WII as stated in other posts I bought one for my 7 year old girl and 5 year old son for christmas (they dont know obvsiouly since its tucked away). I think there is a market for it but its not for me. |

I support Nintendo for their DS, which is IMO the best handheld ever. But the Wii.. ohh the Wii... I wouldn't mind the controls if it didn't have 5 good games only. (Twilight Princess, SMG, Mario Kart, Metroid, Brawl - all first party).
I still think it's a fad.
Whilst Nintendo keeps bringing out quality after quality (forget pokemon battle revolution), not many other developers have latched onto the wii yet with their games. Whether or not they knew if it would sell in the beginning, Nintendo were quite arrogant in that they didn't sign on any new big name 3rd party exclusives before launch.
Sony had a couple of things in the bag (AC comes to mind, remember it was meant to be exclusive at one point) and MS obviously had Gears.
It's a fad because outside of the core market, how many people still pick up and play their Wii's after the initial fun with wii sports, carnival games (I use the term "fun" loosely), mario kart and raving rabbids?
My Wii collects dust until the next big Ninty game, and it's been doing so for about a year now, obviously that'll change, but right now that seems like a fad to me.
While I was playing PSU Console wars didn't exist... a friend who had gotten me into PSU hated on my Wii.. why I didn't have a clue, honestly I was ignorant to the hardcore dilema. I ran into malstroms website and saw the Wii bingo and the words; "Oh-my-god." left my mouth. (I googled Wii bingo becuase my friend was saying Wii games are retarded and simple like bingo.)
Eventually it peaked my interest and I managed to put my friend under the limelight for all to see including himself. Thanks to VGC numbers, Wii bingo, and a few other sources he's managed to at least get off the hate mobile. Now he just doesn't intend to get one but doesn't go around telling people not to get one and transforming into some feral beast if you have or intend to get one.
Video games may just be an addiction...
I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Now you're confusing me. First all you Sony fanboys keep saying that the Wii only appeals to pensioners and soccer moms, now it's kiddy again? And I think it's a save bet that more adults and teenagers own the Wii now than either the 360 or the PS3. Not yet combined, but that will be the case in a couple of months.
The funny thing is that everyone I know who has a PS3 is a minor. This means that not many adults have a PS3. The other case is, that one of the people I know who has a PS3 has a Wii as well. This clearly means that about 50% of the PS3-owners have a Wii. Same thing is happening to the PSP.
Right?
One final question: how can something be a novelty for almost two years?
