Game of the... Year?

Game of the... day it comes out?

Help me out here.

Game of the 13.6 minutes.

Fable 1 was an ok RPG, but a far cry from anything revolutionary, great or even that good. Fable 2 will have a better chance to succeed simply because it hasn't been hyped to heaven and back like every Lionhead game ever - but I still haven't seen anything that would make the game excel against its competition (or even old greats like the Fallout series). So I'd say it'll sell and get a few pre-ordered straight A-reviews, but it won't really be that great.

At least the game is rumored to be 12 hours long, which is 100% longer than Fable: the lost tales was.

already taken by mgs4 sorry

I don't think he meant cut-scene length.

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

You gotta be more specific with your title dude lol.

Game of the week sounds about right cause LPB is hitting around the same time.

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

I don't know it looks nice. The first one gets good reviews. The world looks cool even if the characters look a bit shitty. It has some nice ideas.

BUT

This is an RPG dammit. And the chief job of an RPG IMO is to tell an epic story that draws the player in. Of deceit, war, magic, some Shakespearean story bits are also nice.

Regarding Fable I always hear about the life you live in there. That you can marry, get children. ...
WHO THE HELL CARES. I don't want to play an MMORPG on my computer. I want to play an exiting story, visit cool places battle impressive enemies. I want Baldur's Gate III dammit.

Bolded: It won't even win that. LittleBIGPlanet comes out on the same day! (PAL regions anyway).

Fable 2 will easily gather game of the year and it will DESTROY LBP. Anyway, GOTY doesn't sound far fetched for a game such as Fable 2. MGS4 set standards, but at the same time, so does the Fable franchise.

game of the month
gears 2 gets goty

I really hope this game delivers because I absolutely love what Molyneux has brought the gaming community over the years (especially with bullfrog: Dungeon Keeper ftw!)

And it should beat LBP in sales (would be amazing for LBP and a tad sad for Fable if it didn't).

But the only standard that fable has set was 1) incredibly short RPG 2) failed promises.  That's why I hope that Molyneux has been modest with his predictions for this one (and that they come true).

The point of any game is to be fun (unless you're part of DTG's fan club in which case they are all meant to teach you the meaning of life) and while I'm not Fables biggest fan it really was fun.

To be honest I don't think Fable 2 is going to get many awards but it'll sell well, be nominated for RPG (and possibly even game) of the year and will be blast to play.
