I think otherwise.
Off topic but an interesting bit of info anyway, Madden NFL 09 All Play will likely be the highest selling Madden title on a Nintendo console since the N64. In fact, I think that honor may already go to Madden NFL 08 (even 07) as none of the GC Maddens listed in the database go over 420k but only 06 and 07 are listed.

Yeah I don't think its that likely, I just wanted to point out that's what it would be if the same attach rates hold to the now much bigger user base. I bet it could come close to a 200k though...
We had this same debate last year. I bet the Wii version would outsell the PS3 version based on those same assumptions - and lost.
I think the PS3 will again (narrowly) outsell the Wii for Madden '09 but by Madden '10 the Wii version will definately be stronger.
However... If EA markets All Play to the casual/non gamer football fans then the Wii version could easily outsell PS3's (who's market is limited to current Madden players migrating from PS2)

Yeah, if EA really plugs the CYS mode it has potential to really drive this games sales. When they pushed Tiger Woods 07 for Wii by having Tiger in a commercial swinging a wiimote, it saw stellar sales (for a golf game). It actually went on to destroy the PS3 version despite the fact fact the PS2 version was easily the best selling (and best to play version imo) version of last generation.
Mainstream console plus mainstream game equal huge sales. Such was the case with Guitar Hero so you would think it would be the same with Madden. But not as simple as that. More than likely Wii, PS3, and PS2 sales of Madden 09 will be very very close towards the end of this year and into next year. However Wii games because of that mainstream buying crowd just show much longer and more efficient legs on the market.
I really can't say right now how it'll go down but I do know 360 will more than likely be the best selling version, PSP and DS versions will sell decent, and the PS3, PS2, and Wii versions will be very close in sales.
I disagree about the PS3 version having a chance to end up selling second highest numbers. In order to do that, it would need to outsell the 360 version and that's not going to happen. But the Wii version will end up being the best selling Madden 09.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.
Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
Honestly I don't know how that whole deal is going to go, there seems to be more sports fans on the PS3 then on the Wii, but I have seen a few people like it for their Wii over the other consoles which is absurd as EA could have put more work into its sports games on Wii but that's a whole other debate.

You're joking I'm sure, but if that actually happens I'll eat my own shoe. Hell, if the All-Play version even comes within 1,000,000 of the 360's final total total i'd be surprised.
