dam...who still cares about the ff series ?
all their games could go multiplatform or stay on PS3,it still don't interest me...
i mean the series got dull after FF9....ff10 was good but i was disappointed when they took out the chocobo treasure hunt(more or less the side-quests was missing)

FF9 is the best of the series.......

@OP: Even in your scenario of vXIII never coming to the 360 (which remains to be seen) there's a fatal flaw in your argument.

You're assuming that the people who buy a 360 for FFXIII would have bought a PS3 for it if it didn't come out on the 360. Now, assuming vXIII remains PS3-exclusive, you then say that they would buy a PS3 for that.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but in this scenario, what would 'backfire' on Microsoft if they get some sales, even if Sony does, too?

If ff13 sells really well on the 360, I can guarantee that ff13 vs will suddenly become multi-plat as well.

Think of the US as the PS3 and Iran as the 360. Now lets say a nuclear bomb went "multi-platform".

The OP is like a US fan trying to argue that this nuclear bomb going multi-plat is a good thing...that it could possibly "backfire" on Iran without hurting the US first...

Dude you must have been living under a really big rock. I get what your saying, but die hard FF fans like myself have been ranting about FFVXIII ever since it was announced. It looks fucking insane. However, unlike blinded fanboys who simply jumped ship from XIII to VXIII, I have been anticipating both games equally. Eversince Versus was announced, Square made it clear that this wasn't simply a "spinoff" like everybody above me keeps saying. It is going to be a completely different experience than XIII and I personally think it will be amazing.

I'll acknowledge that it's stupid that I saw when FFXIII came off of so many PS3 owners most wanted lists just to be replaced by VXIII. That doesn't mean, however, that the game is not going to be isane as well...it will just have to do a fucking lot to top FFXIII.

FFXII was fucking crazy. I've said it a million times and I will say it again: PlayStation 3 lost my favorite exclusive out of the bunch. I would not be surprised if VS went multiplat either. But you will never hear me say that FFXIII or VXIII are not going to be crazy...it just so happens that now MS boys will finally get a taste of the good stuff.

I think what he's trying to say is that with new owners to consoles, it will help the PS3 more. Since Versus is still exclusive (?) when a new buyer goes out and picks a console, they'll pick the PS3 for XIII AND VXIII, because Versus is only on that platform (for now) whereas if they picked the 360....they'd be missing out

I don't get it. Having a part of a series is worse than not having any?

Versus will be a lot better then FFXIII in my opinion...So I can still agree with what your saying...
