Ok I like to see the ps3 getting closer to the Wii, but I don’t think this is even possible.

For Sony to reach the figures that deering in the article mentioned, it has to sell around 55 million consoles by the end of 2011. Which is equal to around 18 million a year. How can that be possible if it can’t even sell half that in a year.

Can anyone tell me if that is even feasible. I am not saying that he is biased I mean he actually admitted that the PSP will be at 70 while the DS will be at 150 (for me it’s fair assumptions). He is also a well informed guy and this is his field so he knows better.

What do you think? Is he gonna be right or he will be wrong?

Yeah theres no way thats happening. The Wii will be in a distant first for the rest of the standard gen. Then if PS3 manages its "10 year cycle" it may make up some ground.

well ps3 will not always remeain at £299

its doing quite well considering everything.

@Topic: By 2011, the PS3 should be around30-35 million. Wii is propably pretty close to the 80 million, more likely 90 million. And 360 isn't going to reach 40 million by 2011.

The interviewed just gave the typical PR response, since it was non-official statement. If you want to know what Sony really thinks, read their financial statements, there this kind of "PR" is considered as lies and are forbidden by the law.

I perfectly agree with you. and for the hotcake to sell well, it needs to be priced closer to a hotcake price (AKA Wii).
