PS3 & Wii tie by 2011 360 way behind

Ok I like to see the ps3 getting closer to the Wii, but I don’t think this is even possible.

 

For Sony to reach the figures that deering in the article mentioned, it has to sell around 55 million consoles by the end of 2011. Which is equal to around 18 million a year. How can that be possible if it can’t even sell half that in a year.

 

I quote:

"On the individual games platforming market, Deering predicts that by 2011 the Nintendo DS will have an installed user base of 150 million. The Wii would be on around 80 million, with the PS3 only just behind on 70 million. The Sony PSP will also be at 70 million, while the Xbox 360 will be struggling on 40 million."

Can anyone tell me if that is even feasible. I am not saying that he is biased I mean he actually admitted that the PSP will be at 70 while the DS will be at 150 (for me it’s fair assumptions). He is also a well informed guy and this is his field so he knows better.

What do you think? Is he gonna be right or he will be wrong?
