this is for the ps2, tut
i was about to say that i might get it
That's neat, although like they said in the article, it can't be nearly as accurate as the Wii-mote, thanks to the lack of a third dimension. That 'hiding-behind-the-back' thing is neat, but Nintendo could easily accomplish this (to some degree) by detecting certain wrist movements.
Note: I'd like to see a video of someone playing this while wearing a bright, luminescent green shirt XD

Indeed.
Pixel Art can be fun.
The PS eye aka EyeToy has been around for a while now so what ever. They are to different ways to play video games. Not really a serious sweat for Nintendo.

Well, if Sony can make the PS2 into something like a wii copy... there could be some business there, especially if they drop the price further
Proooobably worth highlighting this before Wiiamdoomed gains steam:
Although the motion-sensing has 1:1 accuracy, it’s only in the two dimensions onscreen, rather than the three dimensions that the Wii Remote can manage. The EyeToy also cannot detect more subtle movements such as the twisting of the player’s wrist. The EyeToy still has difficulty distinguishing colours accurately in anything but the brightest of lighting conditions.
It's a 2d game, it's on rails, and it cannot detect "subtle movements." Some pretty gigantic conditionals on this 1:1 movement.
