Forums - Nintendo - Capcom considering certain 360/PS3 titles for Wii

I'd love street fighter 4 on wii, thats what I want the most. Not the hugest fighter fan but I liked mortal kombat and street fighter back on SNES. RE5, and dead rising 2 would both be nice additions to wii's massive and growing horror survival game selection.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

Correct about the arrows, 1 is normal attack, 2 for the special attacks.

/controls argument

Have you ever played a Street Fighter Soriku?

@ctk: sigh, there's no winning against some people.

What Sven said in the OP is proof of them not taking the Wii seriously. Always a B team is going to be working on a Wii port, while their A team is making the new big game for PS3/360. Anyways Capcom is only supporting the 360 really, PS3 was also getting late ports. PSP games arent considered by them anymore. DS only got the crappy megamans and the Lawyer series. Wii is getting many ports or remakes.

I know people will defend Capcom to death, but I think they dont deserve all the credit you are giving to them. We love golf was PUBLISHED by them, not made by them, same is going on with Spyborgs, which btw was pushed even further because they said it needed a complete image change (wa a lazy effort to start with). Not even Neopets which is a multiplat DS/Wii game is being developed by them.

As I said before their A teams are working/worked on the original content aka Dark Void, RE5, Bionic Commando, SF4, Age of Booty, Flock, SF HD, SF Puzzle Fighter Remix, Bionic Commando Rearmed, 1942: Joint Strike, Talysman, DMC4, Lost Planets, Lost Planets: Colonies, SFII Turbo Remix, Wolf of the Battlefield, Moto GP HD version etc.

While their B teams are working/worked on: Dead Rising Port, RE 0 port, RE 4 port, Sengoku Basara port, Okami port, Moto GP 08 PS2/Wii version, Harvey Birdman PSP/Wii version.

Admittedly there has been some kind of decent effort for the Wii like RE:UC (which reused all the assets from the GC), MH3 (no one is sure if this will leave Japan ever) and Zack & Wiki -> But that's far away from the original content the HD consoles are getting.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.

Obviously not.

make SF use the classic controller. Problem solved.

and bring Re5 to Wii please.

Why can't SF4 use the GC controller? I don't think a fighting game targets casuals, and most people who would buy it would already have a GC controller or will be getting one for the game.

If we dig a bit into Capcom, we see that they are putting more effort on Wii games than other developers.

Many of their games forPS3 and Xbox360 were already in development before the Wii's success and before many start talking about the same "we heard the same BS before", Capcom is actually doing something about it.

While shifting resources for more exclusive Wii games, Capcom released their already planned games looking for market reception instead of sales, wich relates of what kind of people will like to play the game. That way they can see if a transision on Wii is going to be successful (This explain Dead Rising on Wii). They aren't porting the games now, but remaking them so they focus on the Wii's strenghts (changes from game design process). This is to fill the gap between the games they released and the new ones thay must have in the planning process and release good (not great) Wii iterations.

This is a lot better than a flood of Imagine and Z's right?

I know.

He's too busy replaying tales, or Baten Kaitos to understand how a fighting game works.
