Oh. But I thought it'd be important what the people think :P
Think of Yugoslavia. History is repeating itself in some way.

Largest Military power in the world? Yeah sure. Will they actually use that power for anything? No. NATO like the UN rarely acts... and only in cases where things have gone insane.

Because they dont need to. Nobody dares to act against them. You do know that fear is a powerfull weapon.
Oh and if you mean pure democracy... then yes, why? because there is no such thing as pure democracy. Never was, never will be.

The actions Russia should of took was not supporting and starting the trouble in the first place. Russia is the very country who made the territory unstable.
That's like saying if America started agitating quebec to the point of it rioting it would be fine for the US to invade and annex Quebec.

Not at all. There were two very big differences.
1) No genocide.
2) The country intervening wasn't the country who intentionally stirred things up in the first place.
Russia being the ones who are causing the problem have no right to be the ones to deliver the solution.
That's like letting a criminal be his own judge.

What region doesn't have it's faults or issues?

What do you mean there is no such thing as pure democracy? Regardless systems that put the people in control are more preferable to what russia currently has.

Of course it doesn't repeat itself 1:1.
But the core problem is the same, several different ethnics searching for independence and a state which is slowly falling apart. The conflict has always been there, just like in Yugoslavia. You can't tell me Saakashvili thought he could just move in there, bomb some buildings, kill some russian soldiers and yeah, Georgia unified.
But it's no secret that Russia was only waiting for this to happen. As I said, they probably just wanted to demonstrate that we won't do shit to help in such a conflict.
