Wow really a great victory for a series that used to be console exclusive for the PS2 and it's multiplat sequel now is leading with 130k in front of the 360

Lets see, the 360 has larger userbase.


But a shrinking lead (with the exception of the last two weeks) so if we are talking about "momentum" this speaks for the PS3.


The PS3's biggest remaining exclusive launched and like all the other big PS3 exclusives the sales spiked and came back to earth.


The PS3's biggest remaining THIRD-PARTY exclusive launched. Gran Turismo 5 is arguably its biggest exclusive.

The biggest remaining exclusive for the PS3 was announced for 360.


The biggest remaining third-party exclusive that has its largest market in Japan was announced for 360 outside of Japan. Cool.

The biggest and most popular JRPG makers, Square Enix and Namco, are favoring the 360 over the PS3 when it comes to exclusive content.


A very expensive privilege for MS I am sure. Which doesn't change the fact that the 360 has a 650k userbase in Japan so it effectively doesn't exist on that island. BTW the PS3 has 2.3m sold in Japan or almost four times as much.

As funny as the thread is, this comment is equally ridiculous. The 360 outsold a PS3 with shortages for 2 weeks and you talk of momentum? Do not worry the PS3 will outsell the 360 this christmas again and by a considerable amount.

Considering Xbox 360 is 5mil+ ahead and has been out a year longer, what do you expect. If PS3 sales =Xbox 360 sales (Hardware),,,,,,,,, I gaurantee most games would sell better on PS3

You could have saved all your breath and just said GTAIV. That game alone sold ~1.5m more units on 360 which more than makes up the TOTAL lead of all the multiplat PS3 leads on ~4-5 games.
