Forums - Sales - My Final Fantasy XIII Prediction

My Prediction? Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) sales will in Japan ( Excluding NA+EU sales ) , be greater than Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Total worldwide sales (NA+EU). I have already agreed to a bet with Dolla Dolla about this statement. What do you guys think?

What the Game? Anyway I dont see how this is not possible ( FFXII on PS2 Jap sales where pretty close to NA+EU sales ) and the fact that most people would consider FF a PS Game not an Xbox Game. Plus Theres plenty of time for PS3 to gain on 360 sales wise before FF is released.

It's not impossible, but I am thinking Dolla will probably win this round.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

It'll be close. Assuming the Japanese version can get to ~2 million (unlikely att this point in time, but possible if the ps3 sees an upswing in Japan and the 360 version struggles to break that number (also unlikely, but possible).

On a big userbase this would be possible, but I don't it will be possible on the PS3's userbase.

Fixed :)

I think you win, hands down. FF XII's japan sales are about 50% its total sales, FF X's japan sales are about 38% its total sales. Assuming about the same, and non-japan sales are split 50-50 ps3 and 360 (though ps3 will prob sell more), then it's almost guaranteed you win.

But a much bigger % of the PS3's userbase cares about FFXIII than 360's.

There's a good chance for it, really... we'll see how it turns out.
