That kinda mirrors my thoughts, framerate wasn't so bad because its a third person game so im more forgiving. I wished there was more variety in the game because I would spend many, many more hours exploring if there was. It got a bit sad when I walked into the same building for the third time in a row!

Halo is awesome if you've got friends to play with as well. I play FFAs with 2 or 3 of my friends regularly. Multiplayer is the best part of it!

I wish I had a wheel, it would make driving and playing racing games a hell of a lot more fun IMO. They are an awesome change of pace from the more serious games like JRPGs that take up acres of time.

Interesting points. For me, Munkeh, I could care less about framerates and variety and more about gameplay. You can have a turd as a game, but if the gameplay is awesome, I'm forgiving. I got tired of it locking up sometime - and my 360 scratched my review copy - but that was after like 11 straight hours of playing it. That game was HOT. Seriously, I look at all of it and say wow. It's like GTA - I love the open sandbox. I hate linear games. In ME, you can jet around the entire galaxy and still come back and have a blast. And oh, the mission on the Moon was the bomb for me. I can't tell you how long I just stared at Earth. Is it perfect? No. But name another game recently that combines RPG elements, real-time combat, a story that can change based on your actions, the option to intimidate folks, powerups and real strategy. Man, the warts and all can't stop me if the game totally rocks.

It will look good on my shelf next to Ninjabread man and Outdoor Challenge.  I might even buy the legendary edition.

@Squilliam: Oh, i thought it's going to be a boxed title. Not that i would have commented the exclusivity, just thought that i might had picked the game from the cheap basket someday in the future. Anyway, my bad.

I actually was implying to your thread yesterday (as well as the meaning you read from my post).

The real fight is between PS3 and 360, so its more likely to heat up feelings when someone is posting positively about the "competing" console. Just look at the situation 1,5 years ago; todays PS3-360 situation was between PS3-Wii and 360 fans nearly looked like outsiders. Or when Wii was about to pass 360, then everything revolved around 360-Wii.

Yes, yes, the Xbox 360 is awesome and there has never been a better time to own one, especially for RPG fans. Sales lately have also been very positive for the console, and it seems to have reversed its negative momentum for the time being, and regained a foothold as a competitor.

The game I'm most looking forward to personally, is Alan Wake.

The best game I've played lately is Braid.

The game that I want really bad that's close to release is Tales of Vesperia.

The best game the system will ever get is, I hope, Resident Evil 5.

I really couldn't ask for more enjoyment from a console. It's great like a DS, except it's got all the console strengths and games to go with it.

Since you asked: The reason people would bring up the PS3 in this topic? Overcompenstaion and/or inferiority complex. The PS3 is also great. So is the Wii for that matter. Don't bogart the limelite in an appreciation topic.

I just started a Gamefly account because of all the awesome games I haven't played yet. The turnaround time seems to be pretty good so far. I am buying these day one:

lol, Yea, I wish ExxonMobil would enter the video game market, so another "little guy" can challenge the Giant for market share.

I care very little for this "war", but it's funny to think a company that can absorb billions of dollars in losses without batting an eye, is the one fighting the Giant.

Make no mistake, Sony is fighting the giant, not MS.

If you want to root for the "little guy", root for Nintendo. MS revenue in a week is probably more then Nintendo's in a year, and Nintendo is kicking everyones ass.

So Madskillz (the first to bring it up) did so for this reason?

EDIT: The reason people bring it up, is the poster of this thread has been on a mission of late to stir up the fight between the PS3 and 360.

Also, I am sure if I posted a thread talking about how great the PS3 is, and how it's a great time for the PS3, there will be one or two 360 comments in the thread, and none of them would be because they are compensating for anything.

Maybe, I'm not really sure what's the motivation. But any time there's a 360-related thread, you can bet the house on it turning into some PS3 vs. 360 bullshit with shio running in to remind everybody that PC >>>>> 360.
