Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo! What have you done to me!?

@DirtyP2002

Lol dude, if you want competitive multilplayer games get a PC. Competing on PS360 is a joke, except soccer games. Lol, I still can't believe you said that.

You playing COD4 on PS360 is as casual as playing Wii Sports to the real hardcore gamers.

Good atmosphere and story ... don't say that again. Now you will see Nintendo fans flaming you by posting pages of lists with Wii games which have good atmosphere and story and catches you 100%.

 I played on the PC competitive but I switched to Xbox. No cheating is priceless. Competing on a console is possible. Check MLG.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

This is ridicious! I used to be considered a elitist to my friends! I caused fear and panic amongst them as none of them ever wanted to play Halo 2 with me, for fear of a energy sword to the back of the head! Friends and Family were in awe of my skill with video games and respected my mastery of the controller.

But its all changed! The very fabric of video-gaming changed right before me, I've now found myself fumbling nervously with a Wii-wheel as I stumble accross a maze of red shells, bananas, and fake item boxes! Getting knocked off arena's built for mario, samus, yoshi, and plenty more! I've been tripping over mario's own two feet as I navigate planet and planet, galaxy and galaxy, and that annoying pillshaped world.

Nintendo, you've changed the way I view gaming. It used to be that I was "pro" and "hardcore" and none of my casual friends wanted to play because they always knew the outcome before the match begun. But its not that way any more, its definately changed.

I now have fun.

I've rediscovered something I somehow lost when I was a kid, back in the 6th generation. It never was about fun, with my PS2 and xbox it was all about defeating the other players, conquering that challange, and claiming that achievement to brag to my friends who didn't care. But I somehow forgot that these games were about fun.

Nintendo, I suppose I have to once again thank you for bringing back something I lost in games. I now play games with my friends, and most importantly. With my family, I often lose but we laugh about all the silly things that happen during the game-play. It isn't about winning, losing, its about having fun.

so.... strip people of their skills, forcing skilled player to be on the same level of those who are just randomly pressing button.... that is your idea of fun?

Not that I'm saying winning is everything, but it's always fun to win and have that bragging rights (even if it's just playful trash talk between friends). If I want to play a game with outcome completely depended on chance, as oppose to the player's skill level. I'd go roll a dice.

It's like saying the Olympics isn't about winning and losing, it's about the spirit..  yeah, somehow it works a lot better on paper as in the real world.

Heh most games are about skill, there's just a different skill involved to it now which is moving, just like PC FPS skills don't fully transfer over to console FPS, and from console to console you could play the same game and not have the same skill, I would challenge you to tell me which game you're specifically talking about being random chance, cause if you're trying to generalize all Wii games as random chance games, then you're being a bit trollish.

In my 13+ years of playing online on PCs I can't think of a single time where a cheater, who was atually cheating, ruined anything in terms of a competition. NONE. So you either just plain suck and think good players are cheating or you haven't been playing in the right places.
