I was just playing Lost Odyssey, and I have noticed that it has been making slightly odd sounds since I started this disc (4), and it suddenly stopped and the message popped up saying that the disc is currenly unreadable, please wash it with a damp cloth. Looking at the disc, I cannot see any obvious damage on the disc, though there is a very thin little ring just outside of the hole and other stuff just outside the Xbox stuff. I have not really had any experience with scratches before, so I am not sure if this is major damage

It is not like the game froze, the guide just came up and gave me this message.

Your 360 is probably scratching the disc, is the scratch like a perfect circle on the disc? This happend to a lot of 360 owners their 360 all of a sudden started to scratch the disc while it was spinning and before it wasnt coverd by the warrenty.

Yes, but it is not very noticable, and I can see a similar thing on disc 3 as well, so I am not sure whether it is actually a scratch

It happened to my mass effect, twice. Return it. It happens to some games.

Try using a bit of rubbing alcohol on it, and if that doesn't work you might be able to get it out with regular scratch remover.

In any case, that sucks if your 360 really did eat a disk. I guess if any recommendations here don't work, the only thing you can do is to request for another copy.

Usually this means your disc is dirty. Hold it up to the light and rub it gently with a wet paper towel. Last time it happened it to me was when I spilled a bit of rootbeer on blast works

sometimes the screen just pops up. anytime its happened to me, ive just set the system in the corner for a bit so it can think about what its done. it usually behaves when i go to play again.
