Of couse this doesn't inculde all the unknown variables

Such as being able to see into the future and predict who will sell the most you mean?

I think later on SONY will be selling more than just 10M consoles a year. But I definatly think that PS3 will be on top at the end.

so with two made-up mathematical figures, you believe the ps3 will outsell the wii?

where are you getting these numbers from?

the ps3 hasn't sold 15mil yet, and it's been almost 2 years (21 months or so). For it to suddenly pick up pace and sell steadily @ 10mil/year  for 8 more years is incomprehensible. I admit this holiday season and the 2009 does seem a tad brighter than 2007, but you're extrapolating too much information that your figures could be 101% off.

What was on Sony's report for fiscal year 2008:
PS3 projected: 10 million
What was on Nintendo's report for fiscal year 2008:
Wii projected:25 Million

the joke is going to be on you guys when this proves you microsoft 360 owners wrong. You think the 360 can last even 7 years in the gaming market? look at the original Xbox, 4 years!. the 360 is already at 3 and it isn't gaining any potential WW, and only in America and some of Europe.

Who is the one in denial now. And I don't believe Ps3 will be number 1 this generation either, its going to be the Wii, then PS3, then Xbox 360. thats how things will go.

Because the Wii is a fad. Duh.

Don't you know that the Wii is going to start seeing negative sales starting Feb09.  Didn't anyone see the scientific graphs?

 

I'm done, I got it out of my system.


My problem is the idea that a console that is selling 20 million a year will suddenly cease and drop to zero at the end of 3 years.  The PS2 didn't.



I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

i think the only way that happens is gt5 and ff13 in all territories by end of 09 with price at 250. thats their only real chance. 09 has to be much bigger than 08 for them to beat 100 million, which i believe is possible not probable.
