No doubt Origional N64 Version of banjo on xbla will make it 14.... Left 4 Dead will make it 15, Gears of war 2 will make it 16 and perhaps portal: still alive will make it 17.... bottom line is the 360 is the daddy when it comes to AAA titles and will remain so for the rest of this generation

If Starcraft starts counting games like Banjo-Kazoie then technically he should also count the VC games for the Wii in his signature.

Edot: Why did I say entire the first time? What a ludicrous assertion!

Wether XBLA games are included or not..... 360 has 12 xbox 360 games that have 90%+... thats still more than the Famicom-Playstation 3 & wii combined.... the bottom line________ is this....... 360 has more games this gen that have scored 90% than the Famicom-Playstation & wii, theres no sugar coating over that no matter how hard you try..... not bad considering its only microsofts 2nd console

if those games are 90+ on metacritic then yes.. he should count them

Lets see if he will start doing it then. Currently he clearly doesn't so I am betting he won't. I don't think it will stop him from counting Banjo-Kazooie though.

This is Metacritic's judgment, not Starcraft's. Currently, there aren't any Virtual Console games that have a 90 average on Metacritic.

Currently, there aren't any Virtual Console games on Metacritic. Not that this is a meaningful exercise in any case. Do you need someone else to tell you what's good?

Xbox live arcade games should be counted because some of them are totally new games by small dev studios. It just so happens that the big companies like Rare and Namco like to re-release their old games on Xbox Live arcade from time to time.

Do VC games ever get leaderboards? Achievements? HD? Or are they just ROMs? There's your answer.
VC games are like Xbox Originals, not like XBLA games, and those games don't get Metacritic scores either.

Also, this VC discussion is relevant because SO MANY of the 90+ Metascore 360 games are re-released arcade ports......

1 Grand Theft Auto IV 98
2 BioShock 96
3 Orange Box, The 96
4 Gears of War 94
5 Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The 94
6 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 94
7 Halo 3 94
8 Guitar Hero II 92
9 Rock Band 92
10 Mass Effect 91
11 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 90
12 Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 90
13 Forza Motorsport 2 90

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on.  Supposing you discount VC games yes I suppose it would. That is an inaccurate way to list the number of great games for the console though as it discounts a large number of games you can buy for the system via a method used for other games that are counted.

I really don't even know how to respond to this. It is astonishing how you said nothing in so many words. My rebuttal will be "How many Wii games get any/all of that?" The asnwer is a few of them get one or two parts, but none of them have all 3. Whether or not a game has had anything added to it is irrelevant to whether or not the game is readily available for purchase by anyone who wants to spend the money. Xbox Originals, VC games, and any gme that is backwards compatable with the system and is still in print should be counted.

I've said nothing?  Do you really not understand?  Because it's pretty fucking simple.  Yes, Wii games may not have any/all of those things, that's irrelevant.  An Xbox 360 disc game would be counted  on Metacritic even if it didn't have leaderboards or achievements, way to miss the point.

Are Wii and 360 disc games ROMs?  No.  Are XBLA games ROMs?  No.  Are VC games?  Yes.

Do you see the difference now?  Jesus fucking Christ...

...Looks like Braid will be joining GeoWars as another 90%+ title.

Man, August really has been delivering as the best XBLA month ever.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
