The 360 controller I personally feel has finally got everything right for a 'traditional' gaming controller. While there is the complain about the D-Pad, it isn't in the main input position, and while I generally just map 'd-pad games' to the stick anyway (for a lot of games this is good enough), if I ever really needed to use the d-pad, I'd probably go and find another controller.

I honestly don't know which D-pad controller I like the best, possibly the SNES. The PS pad (original or dualshock) could probably take this too, but for analog, the placement of the left stick is just stupid in my opinion, especially the fact that they've stuck with that design for the ps2/3 as well.

Favorite: The original NES Advantage joystick.

Runners-Up: Logitech wireless PS2 controller, SNES, N64, and Panasonic's original 3DO controller with daisy chain, extra long cords, and independent headphone and volume control jacks.

Least Favorite: The Wii Remote + Nunchuk combo. Wii Remote? Awesome. Nunchuk? Awesome! The tether between the two? Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Give me a wireless Nunchuk already, Ninty! A wireless Classic Controller would also NOT suck.

Ah the virtual boy. Your controller weighed 32 kilagrams and stored 58 9 volt battaries, but you just felt so nice to hold!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

In contradiction to most people here, it seems, I would say the SIXAXIS is my favourite controller, the lightness makes it nicer to use, and it's wireless, also the triggers are a lot better than the L2/R2 buttons that sometimes didn't work at all, or got stuck down.

I would say my least favourite controller is probably either the original xBox Controller, man that thing was huge! Or the N64 controller, maybe it was because it looked hideous, or maybe because whenever I played it I had no idea how to hold/use it, either way, I've never particularly liked it.

I can't comment on either the WiiMote/Nunchuck/Classic controller, as I have yet to use them, but I do think they look verys good, as Nintendo have gone for iPod clean look.

But yeah, keyboard and mouse is also very good, although I would say I prefer using a wireless mouse, because I always found the wire annoying.

I agree with everything you say apart from keyboord, I only use my computer for RTSs, so I dont know what they are like in comparison to PS controllers

add me

Last gen the Cube controllers were my favorite, fit the hand nicely and were pretty sturdy.
Overall though, the best I would say is the 360 and the Wii. The Wii is really in it's own class, and the 360 is the most comfortable standard controller I have ever used.

Worst = Original XBox. One word: HUGE

Gamecube controllers! Really nice design and good button pattern... This includes a nice handfitting grasp and some futurproof design... Hehe ...!

No... I just like it! That's all...

THE NETHERLANDS

My favorite I would say it's the Nintendo 64, it was almost perfect, the only flaw was the endurance of the control stick. Also the Wii mote and nunchuk are great, but it gets fingerprints like a magnet. The GC one was also ergonomically perfect, but the D-Pad sucked.

My least favorite would be the Dual Shocks, I always hated them, they are way too uncomfortable and the D-Pad caused blisters on my thumb :(

Worst by far is the original xbox bearsize controllers. You could kill a person if you dropped one of those on their head.

The SixaxiS feels very comfortable, its wireless and lightweight, so it gets my vote.

as far as this gen goes The 360 controller is my favorite. its really comfortable In hands. my least favorite controller for this gen is the Sixaxis. The triggers feel odd and slippery, and its too light

Wow, did nobody else like the origonal Xbox controllers? Except for the bean buttons, the fact that they were so big is what made them cool, they fit in my hands.
