Forums - Sales - The Xbox360 could beat the PS3 over the *whole* of July worldwide.

To Squilliam, I think it is a good possibility, but with the rumored Sept-price drop has me very curious. That could be the straw that breaks the camel's back!

Winning because of a supply constrained competitor isn't something to brag about , of course MS PR's would forget about the constraint part.

It could, but I wonder what the stock situation with the PS3 will be this week.

if it wasnt supply problems then, it would have been like any other month

i see 360 sales being higher in july than ps3 sales in july due to the supply problems on ps3

Then can I go back and flame PS3 fanboys for MGS4 week?

Also, KZ2, if your passive agressive numbers baiting is gonna follow you on every post, then it's only gonna be a matter of time before you run upon the wrong Zenfoldor.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

The Xbox360 hasn't had supply shortages and they have 3 console SKUs to worry about, Sony really only has 2 (Or one once they stop the MGS4 bundles) and they are both changing over their hardware to new revisions. Its Sonys problem that they f***ed up their own logistics. Microsoft has done the changeover so far without issues. Also take note: If Sony doesn't get its supply situation back in order soon they will definately lose the quarter (Microsoft should take September easily with that semi confirmed price cut)

Tease.

From July 5 until this weeks numbers (4 week period) The Xbox360 has been tracking pretty closely to the PS3.

Taking into account this weeks numbers for Europe the Xbox360 needs to beat the PS3 by 19,449 units to take the whole month, with the U.S and Japanese numbers still to come.

Chances are that the Xbox360 will beat those numbers and for the first time in ages it will be ahead on a monthly average.

Looks like all those PS3 overtaking Xbox360 predictions will have to be rethought and at least pushed back a month to account for this last one at least.

Heres hoping for the Xbox 360.

not necessarily. all the ps3 has to do is sell more in the next monthts to make up for this months thus keeping it on track for those peoples predicitons...

but nice job on the 360 front

Halo 2 pushed a lot of consoles.
Gears 2 could push a lot of consoles.

If the 360 wins again this week, i blame PS3 supply shortages, Wii Fit and Osama Bin Laden

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

LoL. I also blame a slow sales month in August. September and beyond we will see improved game sales across the board when the better games are released on all platforms including PC star titles will appear later on in the year.
