Forums - Sales - Demand for Wii still outpaces supply

The fact that Wii's are still difficult to find isn't really interesting (if they were easy to find everywhere, that would be interesting), though the fact people are still having to line up for them hours in advance is very interesting.

I know in some areas they can be found, but at least in my area (Dallas area) you're generally lucky to see them. I've seen them on the shelves a total of 3 times: once with 2 at Wal-Mart--they were gone in about 2 hours, once with one left at Gamestop after a very large shipment that morning, and once at a Movie Trading Company selling a used Wii. I think whoever said that if we don't see them by August, they'll continue to be incredibly hard to find.

And forgot to say, what would be even more interesting is if they continued to be scarce as ever through Christmas.

There's gotta be one crazy analyst who, in summer 2006, predicted that people would still be in line for a Wii a year from then...that man should be the only analyst out there...if he exists.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I'm sure it happens, analysts know only how to predict two things: 1) the really easy answer like The DS will be the top seller in Japan next week and 2) things that are really out there that nobody would believe and they only want to cause controversy and smart like saying in 2005 The Nintendo Revolution will continue to sell out for an entire year after its release.

Enough already IOI is not going to change his numbers. These threads are so stupid..

Maybe you should have read the article before posting like a jackassface.

It's the AP, probably a slow news day. It is really interesting that people are still getting in line for Wiis in the middle of summer, seven months or whatever after launch.

Oiii!

That language is completely unnecessary. Consider this a warning - post like that again, and you'll be (temp) banned.

Sham it is OK. My sarcasm can be a little lost sometimes. I will give you guys a hint. Usually when I end a sentence with two periods as in.. it means there is somethign more to what i am saying. Well unles sit is a typo I make a lot of those LOL.

funny how demand and supply are different in other places, where I am the Wii has been in stock for a long time now, not saying it´s not selling because it it, it´s just not been out of stock here for a long time.

Then why aren't you buying like 10 of them for Ebay this winter?

There was a guy on the corner of the street yelling that, but I think he was just a bum

Oh god... Redspear's sarcasm wasn't really obvious to notice... As such... It was normal for GhaleonUnlimited to react in this way. Thus i find this accusation (read: Warning - threatening to temp.ban) really stupid!

Well, it isn't news, it's life.

Life sucks from time to time doesn't it?  The news sucks for people who doesn't have a WII, and because of not being able to get a WII, life sucks because they ain't got any yet..... how logical.
