Well I'm sure most of us were hoping the Wii would be sold out for most of the year, but were you 100% confident that it would? I'd say I was 50/50... What does this mean? If the Wii continues to be in hot demand will it follow in the DS's footsteps and continue this trend year after year? It looks like the DS's sales won't slow anytime soon and Wii talk happens far more often then DS talk in the news and at work etc... What does all of this mean?!?! We hoped for the best... and it looks like we're going to get everything we wanted as Wii owners... it may not happen as fast as we want (games coming and add ons etc.) but it will happen... It's just weird...

LOL exactly my point... if the Wii demand is catching up to supply this is news, if it isn't it's the same thing continuing hence not news... |
Dude... it's 7 months after launch and STILL hundreds of people line up at the Nintendo World stores... are you on crack? that's newsworthy.
Really, If I said in December that 100 people would be lining up at the Nintendo store to buy a Wii in July, I would have been torn apart by the Sony fanboys.
Im hoping the Wii isnt sold out tbh, I want to see what the Wii can do when demand is met, until then the sales figures show nothing more than that people want it and that Nintendo cant make them fast enough.

I kinda hope they get it in supply soon as well. Sure high demand is nice but people will get sick of waiting and just buy a 360/PS3. Last week the Wii was mentioned, again, in ABC's prime time newscast "World News Tonight". I was watching it at a cafeteria and one of the workers there was watching the segment, she turns to me and asks how much/where you can buy one. I told her they can't really keep them in stock around here. She frowned and seemed to lose interest.
Sure they will be in stock next year, well, maybe :|, but by then many people will consider it old news.

you've have been torn apart by everybody. To say that in December would have left you a laughing stock (is it laughing stock or laughing stalk?)

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Maybe you should have read the article before posting like a jackassface. It's the AP, probably a slow news day. It is really interesting that people are still getting in line for Wiis in the middle of summer, seven months or whatever after launch. |
Oiii!
That language is completely unnecessary. Consider this a warning - post like that again, and you'll be (temp) banned.
