Haha, I like the way you bolded "fjburgos said". You could have left it at that, cos everything he said was wrong.
A 360 Arcade SKU? No way. I have to keep paying for online and HD so no thank you.
Id rather buy a PS3.

It depends on what you want. A console is useful for local multiplayer with friends, games like Gears/Halo are pretty fun if you've got someone there to play along with you. IMO much more fun than going online and you get to play a lot of the console exclusive HD games as well. The Racing genre is pretty much console dominated and so are the sports games if you like those. If you like JRPGs like FF - Mistwalker has the main FF producer also, (Lost Odyssey) and some exclusive WRPGS like Fable 2 aren't available on PC. If you have a wired controller you can use it on your PC if you haven't already so it can perform a double duty between the Xbox360 and PC, saving you $40 I have a gaming PC and an Xbox360 and yet the Xbox360 gets as much use for me as my PC, so I think it can definately be justified.

Yes, those are good points on games. I haven't been a big RPG fan (outside of some western RPG's and Final Fantasy) and Racing/sports games don't interest me that much in the long term, I just get bored of them pretty quickly. That's why I think my PS3 is a good way to experience the best of both worlds. Obivously I'm not knocking on the 360 here, not like I'm ignoring many of it's great games lol.
Also, the PS3 controller can be used on your PC, but the driver is user made and not anything official so I don't know how many games it would work with (apart from emulators). I tried using it with portal and it wasn't that great, but that's kind of my error since the mouse/keyboard is like my home turf. I didn't get a chance to play any games with it, but I did try out the Xbox 360 controller and it's driver to take a look at it's UI. I was scared to see the similar Xbox 360 interface for the controller pop up on my screen, lol. Just like seeing screenshots of the Windows Live interface on Gears of War.

I didn't know you had a PS3 LOL so yea theres probably few really good reasons to own an Xbox360 as well. If it was your first HD console then it might be a good move. Its not if its your 2nd.
Tease.
It's not $200 but $200+$100 (wifi)+$180 (HDD) +$180 (3 years of live)=$660. And that doesn't even have blu-ray.
If it was $150 with a 20 or 60gig HDD then i would in a heartbeat.
(I know that's a few years off but i might by then, first I'm gonna get a Wii)

And the PS3 is $400+$1000 for 100 blu ray movies (extra cost $10 per disk) = $1400
PS3 costs $1400
Xbox360 costs $465
OMG PS3 such a ripoff! :( Gotta sell mine now before it costs me too much)
Tease.
Ever since the story in the news section the Sony Defense Forces have sprung into action spreading misinformation at every possible opportunity. You can almost smell the fear through your monitor. They will do just about anything at this point to try and convince you that somehow a two hundred dollar arcade is more expensive then a four hundred dollar PS3.
The reality is at two hundred dollars for a 360 a great many Sony loyalists are going to swallow some pride, and will make sure they are going to play all the great high end games this generation. Not to mention play some genres that the PS3 just doesn't have. After all there is only so much Oblivion, and Enchanted Arms a sane person can play. For that reason alone for some it will be a simple choice.
To the Sony Defense Force trolls you are going to fail. No matter how much crazy bullshit you spread it is not going to stick. Gamers can do the math, and the intelligent posters on these forums know the deal. You can create as many alternate accounts as you like. That is not going to change a thing. For the sake of your own well being if this is eating you alive its time for you to stop gaming for a while. Stooping this low means you have lost all sense of rationality. We are talking about machines, and you are all piss poor imitations of spooks.
On topic I know of a couple people at work that plan to pick up the arcade in early September after having read this same story from alternate sources. Both of which own another console one a Wii and the other a PS3. Which makes me wonder if this will impact PS3 game sales.
