Forums - Gaming - Will the Wii outsell the legendary "PLAYSTATION2"?

Considering the fact that PS2 only had about 15 million sold by this point in its' lifetime, Wii hype is still riding high, the third-party support is really only beginning to show itself in earnest, there are plenty of innovations yet to come (like MotionPlus), AND there has yet to be a single price drop, I'd say it's guaranteed. In fact, it could do it in three years, assuming year-over-year sales increase/decrease at the normal rate for a console, proportionally.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Yes and no

It'll outsell the PS2 LTD totals but then the negative sales kick in and it'll fall back below it.

Very good.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Yes

Yes, unless there's some sort of apocalyptic event.

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

I think it has a chance, if it lasts at least 8 years in total, but I think there will be a new nintendo system out before it gets that chance.

So I say No, it will not match the PS2 LTD sales.

(As much as I'd like to say yes, I'm just really hoping Nintendo release it's next massive gaming leap sooner rather then later).

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

Yes

Maybe, if they don't pull too many E3 08s.

nop

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

No

Based on current data it would seem so.

It's beating PS2s pace by about

8% in Japan
23% in America
24% in Europe

Any disagreement i'd have to say would be based more on hope then anything else.
