So, still doesn't make them better. metroid Prime 3 is still better than any other FPS out there even though it doesn't have the best graphics

That is true too some extent, some games need grate graphics too make you scared fore example don’t you think? But it would be nice too se Metroid, Zelda, Morio, F-zero, Starfox in grate grafix.
And Valkyria Mario will never be realistic looking but it can be in HD like banjo and kasuwi(sp?) on 360

But along with HD resolutions comes the textures, higher polygon counts and effects that make games look more realistic. That's what he means.
I am up for HD Starfox or Fable-ish Zelda.

Even that's not that accurate though, it is the lighting and shading effects that comes from the highly parallelized programmable shading hardware (or stream processors on new PC GPUs) that produces the more realistic appearance; and this is not related to HD resolutions at all.
Anyways, enough semantics ...
Personally, I would like Nintendo (and all developers) to go all out and produce the best looking games they can when they're dealing with a series like Mario or Zelda where the sales will easily justify the development cost. At the same time smaller series (like Battalion Wars) should see improved graphics to the extent that they do not drastically increase developmment costs.
I'm hoping that when Nintendo announces the new zelda at the tokyo games show, they announce a new expansion that allows zelda to be High Def. i dont want to wait 10 years for a zelda game with graphics on par with MGS4. i know this wont happen. but nintendo did release a hardware expansion for the N64.
All of them would look great in Hd even Mario. Hd doesnt mean realistic hte best example is Ratchet and Clank ps3, absolutely gorgeous game.
i think zelda and Mario would look kinda scary in hd unless they kept the really cartoon like art direction.
Metroid i couldnt care less about i dont like that series, it seems like a boring unfun version of half life 2, halo like game
Probably starfox or f-zero, that would bee good.
