Hmm, aren't we a protective bunch. I think too many ppl need their happy pills. I didn't quote numbers, make false info or give my calulations on this matter? All I said was that I believe the ps3 is doing well and that once the blue ray market picks up in Australia then the ps3 will sell more. I think I know how ppl in my country work.

I know alot of ppl think that because Australia has small numbers we not gamers etc. I'll tell you what. We are big comsumers and we pay more than other countries. A $1000au ps3 is expensive but we tend to break it down ie like oh it has blue ray player which is around $1000au, it has gaming, online etc. We don't bitch and moan about it.

The fact is the ppl complaining against me, Your post are boring ( you know it all wannbes). So your big geeks on this forum, but don't push a way new ppl. I might not be into creating stats etc,( I do like reading it). But get over yourself. Most of your created stats or foresight don't evenually add up.

 

I'm very dissapointed in some ppl on this site. I play online games as a Veteran player. So I know how this newbie shit goes. Just get over it. Get your head out of your arses and grow up. I won't be recommending people to this site if it is like this. :P

 We've backed up our information, and I'm not sure what facts you're even arguing about anymore...both our numbers and Sony's match up.

And I'm sick of you saying we live in an "internet bubble."  If you have ACTUAL FACTS to prove something wrong, do so.  If not, then stop bashing the site.  The only "rabid fanatics" I see are the ones that say "wii fanboys" in EVERY FREAKIN POST.  We're not talking about the Wii...you are.

Breaking news! Wii has sold 700,000 in France! That's 200,000 more than what VGChartz says! Better change the numbers quick!

This can only mean that the Wii is selling 75,000 Wii's a week in France alone, and the weekly numbers must be updated as well to reflect this!

And what numbers are they making up CKLMB? Vg Chartz says 50,000 Sony Says 50,000. Nintendo says 100,000 VGchartz says 100,000.

 

if you are referring to trend I don't think GfK cares as long as it is true in some sense(they sell their numbers to companies so the companies can spin it). I would like to see GfK weekly data. However ask yourself CKLMB how come VGchartz is right in line with Sony's and Nintnedo's total when you add the weeklies but the weeklies so far off? By the way this happened twice already  Vgchartz was right there with the Aussie 27K figure 10 days after launch(just like sony announced....

Well looking at the numbers both the PS3 and the Wii are very close in this site ,just they must be bad distributed between weeks for everything to fit .Maybe the Wii numbers were higher than what we expected some 3 months ago .The one console that is being overtracked is the X360 it would seem .

Just to make this clear, I am not downplaying Australia as a gamer market I just said it is small becuase the total population of Australia has 20 million people as opposed to the united states' 300 million people (15 times as much) if you multiply the number of consoles sold there it would be 2.7 million for x360, 1.5 million wii, and 750,000 PS3 (as compared to US 6.42m x360, 3.46m wii, 1.55m PS3).

It would be just short of half US numbers, and taking into consideration that US is one of the biggest markets for videogames. It means you are a great gaming community.

Who cares? We are talking about 100k sales people. 50k sales. What does .1 million matter when Wii is at 8.6 million and the PS3 is at 3.5? IT DOESN'T. If Australia wants to throw their money away then let them. The other region sales are what determines if a console gets games because of their volume. Australia is just going to be left with the butt end. They don't even get most of the games that come out anyway!

To anyone in Australia, I'm sorry that this is the way the industry is, but it is. It is nothing bad toward Australians personally.
