Forums - Nintendo - How hard is Zelda II: The Adventure of Link?

Zelda 2 is hard but worth picking up all the same. The best Zelda game is a Link to the Past, or Ocarina of Time, timeless classics.

Zelda 2 the one game in the series i never finished.

Nintendo Network ID: Sherlock99

It is a piece of cake if you know the glitches, like the easy ways to beat bosses, iron knuckles, shadow link. I can easily go get the hammer right off the bat without getting a heart container or the candle.

However, since I've been playing this game on and off for the last 19 years, so I will really say it ranks as one of the toughest games ever if you don't know what your doing.

Great game and the best in the series , and definitely worth buying more points for.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

It's an amazing game that I just beat a few months ago. I did require assistance on 3 separate occasions (friends mostly, guide once) . Do this. Get the game, love the game, and if it's difficulty transcends challenge and approaches frustration, just check a guide for that puzzle.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Ever try to play it without leveling up?

Hard.

I remember the first time I rented it... My mom ended up playing the game instead of me! I was 5 years old, missing some serious skills at that time (stupid first boss)!

I've played it 3 years ago when I was in my Zelda phase (don't ask why!) and it was a fun experience. Just be sure to train a bit and try to find all the Heart containers. The really hard part was the stupid green ocean place (bottom of the map). I hated those random encounters! There are intriguing puzzles in the game as well (got to light up that cave by finding a candle, lol). By the way, those stupid gold armor dudes... Uggggh!

The game also has the best quote in a game ever:

It's just too bad you bought Mario for the third time (I'm just guessing here). :(

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

wow, I don't recall using a map or guide. You all suck.

I haven't replayed it since I was a lad, but it was harder than some other games. But, when you grew up pre-internet and had parents who refused to buy Nintendo Power, you just played over and over again.

Nah its actually my first time buying Mario. I played it on my friend NES when i was small. I actually never beat it.

^ So, are you enjoying this 8-bit classic? I consider it harder than Zelda II actually, lol! =P
