MGS, of course.
I love MGS's Storyline, but I like Splinter Cell's gameplay more.
Gotta agree with S.T.A.G.E. there....MGS has the crazy, yet interesting and captivating storyline that makes you laugh and think at the same time.
Yet Splinter Cell has the gameplay that actually convinces you that you are a real spy with the weapons and abilities.

Splinter Cell.
The original splinter cell was the best at the time on consoles, but ever since then the series has been going down hill. so MGS as a whole is better. But thief is superior to both.
I hate games where you have to sneak around. So neither.
