Forums - Nintendo - Wii Sports Resort Bundles?

Do you think they'll ever replace Wii Sports with Wii Sports Resort? If they are eventually going to bundle the motion plus thing eventually, don't you think it'd make sense to throw in the Sports Resort thing too?

We were talking about this yesterday in another thread. This is what I think:

It does make a lot of sense to do it that way. Not much point in forcing new Wii owners to swallow two versions of Wii Sports at the same time if they want to get the more evolved version of Wii Sports.

If that happens, it's also very likely that new Wii Remotes will contain WM+ out of the box. All of this leaves previous Wii owners to upgrade their controllers. I don't see many people wanting more than two WM+ add-ons, which entails buying Wii Sports:Resort and a standalone WM+, at most (or two standalone WM+). Not so bad!

The question I have is will the new Wii sports resort be able to be played without the add-on. If not we will fork out more money if we want to play with mates.

Not very likely, if you could do that some people would be playing a gimped version of the games.

PS: I was hoping this would cost 10 €, but after seeing how much those gyroscopes cost, I'm thinking 15-20 €.

Good question. I know Atari rode Combat into the ground, NES had Mario and a couple systems had bundles - it would be interesting if they did that. I would love to play Resort though. I haven't been keeping tabs on that stuff. I will now ...

most likely!

There's a not so small chance that Nintendo will throw the WM+ and Sports Resort into the package instead of lowering the price somewhere in 2009.

I think they will release a new controller with the add on integrated around the time, and bundle that with the game. I do think that the console will come bundled with it, because it just makes sense

I think so.

If they bundle Wii Sports Resort and Motion+ with the Wii, then what will happen to the original Wii Sports? Sold seperately? New Wii owners will be missing out on bowling and tennis which are very fun.
