Forums - Sales - WoW, Sony are in real trouble

I WOULD JUST LIKE T SAY I MISSED THE WHOLE SUPPLY THING.
Is it that bad?

No.

I think it's a combo of a lot of things. E3, 360 price drop, 80 Gig $399 announcement, and supply constrained (including MGS bundle).

A lot of factors have played in. Supply is just one of them. Sony needs to get there shit together, and get units out that people want. Having these kinds of problems this late into your life cycle is just ridicules, especially for a hardware company.

I most certainly hope the supply is screwed cause if it were otherwise it would have been awful.

Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)

Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U

Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY

Come on, that was obviously not du to E3.

Look at Xbox360 numbers is PAL and see how they are low.

They are going back to the "pre-price cut" level (45k-50k).

Despite the FFXIII announcement ... and despite no shortage.

supply shortage? I see them all over the place...damn things taking up space in gamestops.

It's not like things will be consistent everywhere. Supply will differ from area to area. In a populated city one could assume things would sell out faster than they would in a small town.

you can't compare sales in February/March vs sales in July...last year for instance sales dropped by 50%.

In 2008 sales in July are still higher than in february/march (and  more than doubled compared to 2007): that's the price cut effect.

2008 year end sales (made in January 2008):

44.2 M 27.1 M 20.8 M

they need a price drop

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

PS3's are in stock everywhere here

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 05th Jan 2008 to 26th Jul 2008:

Console PS3 X360
America
1,945,644
1,952,135

So it's back to a tie in America this year.
