Yea it really depends. 360 just had a price cut and all those games are coming out soon. PS3 hasnt seen anything new yet and on amazon, it still has them in stock.

O well, #'s might be adjusted and wait for next week for SCIV

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

Not too many people follow this type of news. Generally they see PS3 starting at 399 on a commercial and that's the price they want to bu the console for... that's how it works in the mind of the general consumer. I have my 80gb because I went out and bought it my self.  My cousin wanted a 80gb PS3, asked his mom, and xmas came, he got a 40gb, now he has to keep his ps2 because his mom didn't want to buy it for more than what she saw in the commercial. This is why add campaigns are important....

That's just sad. That's comparatively worse than 360 numbers in Japan. WTF?

Sorry, you fail, i counted three people on the first page of this thread saying that  there are plenty of restocked PS3's "since Friday". Ergo: 1 day before the end of this weeks numbers. Let me in you on a little secret, you read the whole thread first, then you post.

Exactly, it is still in stock at Amazon which means it hasn't sold out. If they're still in stock it mean no one is buying them.

Sony has to worry a bit here. Shortages at the same time your competitors just cut their price and introduced a new model. People looking for 40GB PS3's might walk out of the store with 20 GB or 60 GB 360s.

 I think that's his point. They said that for FY 09 they would ship (make) 10M. This would mean a max of 12M sold for the FY. As no comment on increasing production has been seen, there could be some major supply constraints during Christmas.
