Use the search function. There is already a huge thread documenting the reasons.

It's funny as i recall SSJ gets owned and starts calling people names.

Funny to think he's the sites PR guy.

Then he goes into a "Who cares if XBL is better then PSN PC Is better then all! Fallback he likes to do when he loses an arguement.

Basically 360 still has features PSN doesn't despite the new update... more people in the US have it, so you are more likely to be able to play with your friends and it sells more software... so more people overall are likely to be online for multi-plat games. Which while not as important right away, is going to matter later on.

Also... Achivements are still better then Trophies.

LOL! Nice add in. I do think acheievements are cool, but the RPG level system that PSN is better, IMO.

Are adding Trophies into PS3 games required? If they aren't and if Sony isn't going to go back and add them into previous releases then it'll never be better than Achievements. What's the point if it's only going to include certain games? It's to show your gaming library and how much you've earned in each game. Leaving games out will just cheapen the experience.

I cant really be bothered to enter into a + / - battle but I would say that £30 / year for great online play is not an awful lot, infact its frankly bugger all. £2.50 a month which is around the price of a pint of lager.

The better value comment makes me laugh.

Based on UK prices you could buy:

-360 Pro
- 2 years worth of live
- Bioshock
- Lost Odyssey
- Halo3
- MassEffect
(will dig out links and prices if required!)

OR

- a PS3 without games

Fairly easy better value for money proposition in my opinion. Anyone saying this 10 year lifecycle rubbish needs to realise just how long that is and that any serious console gamer is inevitably going to be buying the xbox3 / playstation4 / wii2 before the 10 year ps3 cycle is up.

months that you will not be able to use due RRoD

Stop trolling, this is your warning.

This thread again?

Finally, something we can agree upon. Thread=FAIL. I really believe this is a stealth troll at work, myself.

You either get it...or you don't. One cant explain it to a person...

I'd gladly send 50 dollars a year to Sony if they could make PSN as good as xbox live.

One can't explain it to the other?  Why not try?  You'd be surprised, I actually graduated, I comprehend words written with an alphabet.

Also..a lot of what I'm seeing is 'XBL has more features, and it has more users..'   Ok..so elaborate.  What more features?  I'm not saying XBL isn't worth the $50 a year.  I'd probably pay for PSN if it cost that too, but it doesn't.

Oh, and whoever said you can buy this game, that game, 2 years of live, a headset, blah blah or a PS3 - I find that simply halarious.  You forgot to factor in that in order to use all those 360 accessories and features, YOU NEED TO PAY $350 FOR A 360 YOU MORON.  Sorry..really, sorry.  That just..I can't deal with people who severely lack common sense.

I like PSN because its easy to use and has specific game servers dedicated to specific games. It also doesn't hurt that I don't dish out over a hundred bucks a year for it.

We also got Metal Gear Online and Warhawk, two of the best online games I've ever played.

Um... Okay? If you're paying over $100/year for XBL, I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale...

OT: I don't own a 360 so I really can't help you much. I can;t remember where, but I asked the same thing a while ago and actually managed to get some specific answers. I'll see if I can find the thread....

Dude, the SS12 meltdown is classic. I have bookmarked that junk. +1, bro.

My cousin has XBox 360 and I have a PS3, it took me a long time to realize that Live was better. Why? Because the extra features of Live don't stand out and don't scream "I'm worth $70". Plus factor in PSN gets you free WiFi.
Live is another $120+$70. I easily would of surpassed the difference in price if I had gone with a 360 almost immediately. PSN is clearly the way to go, for what you're paying ($0) it's easily better than Live and at the same time it's not the bare bones near nonexistance of Nintendo online.

Actually he did count in the 360 pro. Its the first thing on his list.

The 360 is just that much cheaper then the PS3.

$70? I've never seen Xbox live cards more expensive then $45.

Main difference between PSN and LIVE is content
PSN= 7eleven
LIVE= Walmart

So you get ~200 demos over my ~100 demos and ~300 game trailers versus me ~200 game trailers....clearly worth $70 right???  Nah....

The biggest component of online "Gameplay" is the same.

It's like being offered a brand new house for free but turning it down and paying $300,000 for the same house elsewhere just because that house is in a slightly nicer neighbourhood.

From Siouxen earlier in the thread.

"I wasn't saying that it had more online games to make it sound better, in truth the services are pretty much identical except in the games offered. What I was pointing out is Microsofts structure allows a company that normally could not provide online modes to do so as they don't have to support it Microsoft will. That was a big point of Xbox live, and one reason Microsoft can justify charging."

So... yeah the "online gameplay" component isn't the same.  Which you'd of known had you read the thread.
