when can we expect ioi to post some numbers?

Actually y-koron is always earlier, ioi will provide numbers tomorrow.

16k for FS... It's just sad. I hope PS3 will hit 13k-15k this week... (there is a 007 bundle after all )

I just don't understand the Japanese market atm, i thought games like these did wonderful on the PS2. So does this means that the japanese that do buy these kind of games just haven't got a PS3 yet (and are waiting for price drop) or does this mean the japanese market has changed totally?

Maybe the Japanese people are just not willing to spend so much on a console? Does Japan have a high rate of people buying HD televisions? Are Japanese people graphic snobs? Also, what the heck is Hajime no Ippo Revolution ?

That´s the problem with beeing in the third place (or a distant second). You can release awesome games every day, once the consumers have their oppinion it seems impossible to come on top again...

Believe me, PS3 fans, those Nintendo guys know how you feel... (and there is no ironic in this sentence)

PS2 base  in  Japan > 20 million

PS3 base in Japan < 1 million

That makes a big difference. Unless a game is a real system seller it's not going to do great on the PS3 until that system builds a significant base, which probably won't even begin to happen until 2008.

So... ah.. what was the next big game coming for the PS3 in Japan?

Sales number for Hajime No Ippo anyone? I really want that game to sell good.
