Forums - Gaming - Do you still play last-gen games than current gen?

I'm having a tough time playing last-gen games.i.e...PS2, Xbox and Gamecube games.

Last-gen the only system I owned was the PS2. I only was able to play a few PS2 games cause at the time I was in high school still and I couldn't afford to buy the wealth of PS2 games.

Now that the new generation is in route (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii). I want to play those wealth of games on those systems but at the same time. I want to play those games that I couldn't play from last-generation.

How should I sort this out and make room and time for me to play those last-gen games?

Is it even worth playing last-gen games now or should I focus on the current generation?

Since there is a lack of good quality RPG's so far this gen I have been replaying several of the old ones on my PS2, like Xenosaga 1,3 FF8, FF9 ,FF10, FF7, Persona 3 and Xenogears

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

There are tons of last-gen games still worth playing, especially if you only had a PS2, as there were some great exclusives on the Cube and Xbox, too.

With regard to space, you don't need to buy any of the last-gen consoles unless you have a 360 Arcade or a 40-gig PS3. That's a big space-saver right there.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Yea I have the 360 Arcade but I own a 20GB HDD, and I got a 80GB PS3 and a Wii.

So do you think that will interfer my current generation games. I mean there is a good ton of nice PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 games out there is worth playing and I don't want to buy to many last generation games either.

Well, I have played tons of FF X recently, but in many cases it is not quite worth playing. I also have Star Ocean, and i need to finish that in the next few weeks

I have been thinking about getting Knights of the Old Republic or Fable to play on my 360, but I have enough games to keep me occupied at the moment

Ps2 had such a big library of games it was amazing. I play my ps2 now and still buying games for the system because its that great. Alot of games are awaiting you.

I never had the gamecube so when I got the wii bought a bunch of the good GC games :D

@Obliterator1700 & others

What in the hell am I suppose to do if I own a PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP and then I want to play a few old Xbox games, PS2 games and Gamecube games.

That means by the time I finish a PS2 game I will want to play the lastest PS3 game, but I can't because I'm playing a PS2 game at the moment.

I can't play multiple games at once. It begins to take a toll and I just lose interest and play other games. And then I feel like I lost value because I bought all those old PS2 games and never played them.

I'm playing the gamecube games I missed last gen, like Eternal Darkness and Tales of symphonia. I still have to buy Pikmin

In fact I am thinking of getting FF VII, VIII and IX
