Yes it will move hardware but not to even half the extent that the first Gears did, because most of the people who want Gears 2 will already have a X360 for Gears 1.

Gears 2, like Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2, will do little to move extra hardware by itself. The only way titles like this really move hardware is they keep the hardware moving based on the fact that quality software continues to be released for the console. So instead of hardware sales lagging they keep at the existing pace or just slightly better.

If they bundle it, it will move loads.

Since it's out in November, it will be hard to separate the holiday/Black Friday effect from the Gears effect.

i think gears2 will add about a 50k boost during its launch for hardware sales. could be as high as 75k if adds are everywhere.

I don't think so. Unless it gets GTA4/MGS4 type reviews, the people most interested in it are those who played GoW 1, and they already own a 360. You can apply the same reasoning to Resistance 2.

My guess is they would sell an extra 1000 consoles at best. If they wanted gears of war 2 would'nt they have an Xbox360 for the first 1? So I really dont think this game will sell much hardware...Usually the first game of the series sells better then the second one.

...I might actually buy it. Finished Gear of war on pc,gave it 6.5.So much hyped i had to buy it but it was failure.Camping and you need like 10 headshots to kill enemy,atleast hardcore..And there was no story at all.
Still i just might buy it...Nah, i play it at friend :P
